Sacramento - Day without Immigrants Demonstration

I noted early this morning that Sac PD was preparing, what I thought was for, tomorrows walk-outs. But as monitored the last hour and a half, I see there was an event at Memorial Auditoriom and PD is try to maintain control of the situation.

They are diverting traffic to clear them out of the area and stopping people from blocking intersections.

Sac PD Central is humming right now.

I shall monitor radio traffic and the Fire CAD tomorrow (as I do on a daily basis), in case things really go sideways for that event.

If my fellow Sacramento RR's can give me more insight on is going on downtown, I would surely appreciate it and if it is related to tomorrow's demonstrations.

Thanks for the intel.

Since PD is pushing some of the concert goers to my area - SSD District 4, it should be busy tonight.

Tomorrow, should be a busy day in the City, though.

Luckily, I was monitoring the radio when it was initially dispatched at around 1000 hours. Since it was right around the corner from one of our fire stations, I immediately notified the AC of Operations to make him aware of what was going on. Happy to say the situation ended peacefully at 1200.

I am now listening in on the marchers, so far, so good - seems to be running okay for law enforcement.

3 stabbings, about 10 gang fights with bats... ya it was an interesting evening.
