That's a loaded question. The Sacramento TRS has two main sites; those control frequencies are:
County:
868.5375 + 868.7375 + 868.9375 + 868.9625
City:
868.6375 + 868.6625 + 868.8250 + 868.9000

On the TRS you will get, Folsom PD, Citrus Heights PD, Rancho Cordova PD, Elk Grove PD & West Sac PD in addition to Sacramento agencies. You will NOT hear any agencies from Placer county including Lincoln.

There is a TRS for Roseville, but it only has Roseville PD, Roseville Fire and Roseville City agencies (such as public works). Again Lincoln is not on this TRS.

Lincoln PD is a conventional freq: 156.0900 DC 466
Lincoln Fire is a conventional freq: 151.0100 CT 151.4
Lincoln Fire Tac: 155.055 CT 151.4

The DB shows only two of these freqs as control channels, and I don't see the other two (.5375 & .7375) in there at all. Are these two new freqs that I should program in?

I didn't use the DB here. I took that data from my testing with UniTrunker. I have all TRS frequencies programmed. Checking my personal scanners; I definitely have control channel data from time to time on 868.5375 and 868.7375.

Where can I find the most updated information on the sacramento area chp? I have some information, although it has been very little. Any help is appreciated.

The basics: GOLD channel is north of the American River in Sacramento County. BLACK channel is south of the American River & Yolo county. GREEN channel is western Placer & El Dorado counties. The mobiles are not repeated. You'll need to program both frequencies in order to hear both sides of the conversation. You will also need a GOOD outside antenna for low band to pick up mobiles.

Dead Spots?

I just got a Pro-97. I've programmed just the control channels from both site 1 and 2 into one bank (bank 2). (As I understand it, that's all I need to do to get trunking.) When I scan -- either in open or closed -- it stops on the control channels and makes the buzzsaw noise. So I tried something else. I entered ALL of the freqs from site 2 in bank 3. Again, same thing.

I would put this in a Pro-97 forum, but I think I've programmed it right.

I've driven around a bit but it doesn't change anything. So my question is for those of you in Sacramento who have a Pro-97: where can I go (near Land Park or downtown, preferably) where you know the reception is good. I figure if I try my scanner there and it works, then I know I live in a dead spot and that's why it's not working at home. If it doesn't work for me where it works for you, then I'll know the dead spot is between my ears and I'll try programming it again.

Thanks in advance.

That's because you have the channels set to "FM" and they need to be set to "MO".
