Suspect in custody ~1730 EST. Found in the woods near college (Leonardtown).

Press release that came out prior to capture

St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Deputies are currently tracking Paul Anthony Pitner.Suspect Pitner was an inmate at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center in the work release program. Suspect Pitner was taken to Court on today’s date and sentenced to Five (5) years in prison. Upon returning to the Detention Center to gather his belongings, he fled from the housing unit. He is a white male weighing approximately 170 pounds, brown hair and green eyes. Suspect Pitner has tattoos on his neck and back and is wearing a white tee shirt and jail issued striped pants. A “Code Red Alert” was sent to all effected Leonardtown residents, notifying them of the situation.
