Was at a Sam’s club today and the radios they were using were Motorola and the audio was definitely digital. I always thought they were MURS. Anyone know the modulation type and frequencies?
That is interesting. It seems like the radios were larger than that. It doesn't say the modulation type, but does show FHSS, which would make scanning impossible.I think this is what they are using at the Walmart near me. They got rid of the MURS radios last year.

My local Sam's uses the new Motorola Curve 900 MHz FHSS radios with WiFi assistant
I have seen this also. But then I’ve also seen them at the same store using the actual radios,My local Sam's uses Zello installed in their android/smartphone looking like barcode scanner
I remember a lot of people at my store bought their own 5R, probably more than what was in the store's RDM2070d cache. plenty of people from maintenance to front end to cart pushers bought one, the ones that got a radio because their job somewhat required it instead of running around a lot, and others were sick of their busted speakers 2070 hand me down or until a new shipment of 2070d's arrived that quickly disappeared lolThe walmart here are using UV-5R radio I see the workers carry them around the store.......

Sam's club and of course WAL-MART! I'm not surprised the Company that I work for, they use Motorola FHSS 900mhz too. Besides, does anyone really need to if they're not in the general vicinity what's happening in aisle 1 or 21? Of course, everyone's curious about Loss Prevention Staff to deter Shop Lifters and listening out for Code ADAM.Was at a Sam’s club today and the radios they were using were Motorola and the audio was definitely digital. That's true, little odd that someone would listen to WalmartWhat's cool about the scanning hobby is...if it's not something you want to listen to, you don't have to.
True, just odd but so are alot of thingsIdentification and sharing of RF activity is what this message board is about.
to steal from the ole media phrase - if it bleeds it leads
if it transmits we identify and share (Use, PL/DPL/NAC, mode etc)
How do you think your local PD/FD/DPW/EMS got identified for you to listen to ?
