Hello

Visited San Diego last week and programmed my Pro-96 with San Diego city frequencies listed here in the data base.

When I got there nothing picked up.

I loaded the channels and the talk groups but nothing worked.

Question, do I need to put the control channels in the banks starting at 1 or load them just as they are in the database.

I can send the Win96 file for someone to look at if you let me know your address.

Thanks for any help
Mark

Forgot to answer you're other question. With the freqs all you have to put in is the control channels. If you want to program all the freqs you can. Just program them as they appear here in RR. I myself have all the freqs programmed in.

Thank you Jeff,

I did go in and find the info on "Splinter" activation on the Pro96, whatever that is.
I found the setting in Win96 and yes it had been set to normal.

I wish there had been some info somewhere here on RR that would have indicated this Splinter setting.

Will try new settings.

Thanks for all the help.

Glad to help Mark. You also have to have it set to splinter for North RCS and East RCS. I believe South RCS is the only one that I have set to normal.

I put a notice on the main San Diego County page.

Sooner or later the database will get splinter as an option for a system's specifics.
