San Francisco Fleet Week 2022

Just information for everybody I think if you read through all of my posts you'll have all the frequencies in use and I can't believe how long they've been up it's normally 45 minutes but I guess because of all the reference work they're doing it's probably much longer today was the day to listen but still they'll be plenty of good stuff to listen to and I think I've got all the frequencies for the Blue Angels I'll let you guys fill in the rest everybody have a good day and enjoy the air show

Pretty busy today while the practice started, not actively listening at all (was on zoom call).

Started the capture around 2:39pm when heard the planes about to take off noise from KOAK north field. Captured with BCT15X in my office, which has weaker reception condition. Overheard better reception from bedroom scanner, more chatty and clean.

Oh, nothing fancy, just cutoff Ai: air force, Na: Nationwide, not specific to my location (they are from RR database wording )


BTW, keep expectation low, I have SDS100, BCD436HP, BC125AT and BCT15X(2), the order reflects analogue airband reception capability from low to high (for me).

Don't think thunderbirds is coming, just some talk on that freq (that I pre tagged freqs as thunderbird) , I think someone says patriot is 121.05 (but I labeled it as fleetweek, unsure)

Hi, can anyone recommend a device for me? I just want to listen to the San Francisco Fleet Week Air Show comms once a year, so it’s just for that occasional use, but I would really like to listen to the show. Appreciate any recommendations, thank you.

I believe 121.05 is a discrete frequency for the show. The Patriots are usually on 127.3

Concur, I heard 127.3 today (not yesterday). Aware two F35s took off at 2:58pm from KOAK big airport, followed by the T-2 from smaller (north field airport). ATC says clear to take off, but ADS-B shows no plane on runway, is an indication they are to take off.

You should hear the frequencies shortly and if you're interested you can watch them on channel 5 kpix so what I like to do is turn off the sound on the TV and just let the radio frequencies go and watch them on the TV screen it's cool so I'm still waiting to hear them nothing on the scanner yet. And you won't hear them right until the moment they start their performance or at least it's always been that way in the past good listening
