Santa and a new scanner

Want to learn about a scanner before you buy it? Santa brought you a new scanner but you know nothing about it? Our wiki has the most extensive set of pages and information to be found anywhere. To find it, just go to the wiki home page, scroll about 2/3 of the way down and go to the yellow 'Popular Topics' section. There you will find not only information on scanners, but software as well such as

• ARC500 (for various GRE object oriented scanners and their various clones)
• EZ-Scan (some Whistler models)
• FreeScan (sadly abandoned but still quite useful for Uniden scanners from the first DMA scanner to the P2 models)
• Getting started with Win500 - (note that the author is either deceased or has abandoned the software. He hasn't been heard from in years)
• Sentinel (Uniden software starting with the HP-1 Model)
