The Enterprise Mobility Solutions business of Motorola, Inc. and Saratoga County, N.Y. announced USD 11.8 million contract for a Project 25 (P25) countywide communications system providing interoperability with state, county and local agencies.

The new Motorola ASTRO(R) 25 IP Digital Trunked Simulcast System is designed to provide seamless interoperable emergency communications coverage throughout the county and will be used by sheriff's police, firefighters, EMTs and other first responders.

System is in testing now.
I have monitored voice comms on numerous occasions.

The system has not been built yet. Should roll out for testing by August. Several towers still under construction, as of now no firm date for when system will be in use by all agencies.

What is being "tested" now is the original demo site that was built by Capital Digitronics.

The new contract system has not yet been built, but will almost certainly use the existing Providence equipment (although that will have to be rebanded).
