Scaning question BCT8

wasn't sure how to search this one. I looked through the book on the BCT8 and didn't realy find my answer.

What i am trying to do is scan from one set number to the next set number, a range. The scanner has preset ranges but they are way to large to scan well. Is there a way to set a start frequensy and an end frequency and scan between those set numbers?

I am trying to do this becouse my old radioshack was able to do this, and i am sure that the BCT8 can some how. But how?

I do not think it is possible that I know of. Both are time consuming but you could either program in the freq range you want or in the "search" just lock out all the freqs out of the range you are wanting to search.
