Scanner in my car?

As a licensed Ham, can I legally have a scanner in my car, someone told me I can, Is there any info available on this, Thanks Tom KD8EGA

Anyone can have a scanner in their car in Virginia.

Just don't use it to help you commit a crime.

yep legal in Va for anyone to have a scanner. just be careful if you travel out of the state.

It is legal in VA as long as you are not using to aid in the commision of a crime. I usually have three in the car.

Same is true for lots of other things if you think about it, Lynn. Like certain tools, chains, tire irons, baseball bats....
