I am trying to help my father-in-law program his scanner. It is a Uniden BC785D. I would like to erase all the old frequencies and re-program. I can't find any help in the owner's manual. Any help????

If its anything like the BC796D when you write to the scanner it should automatically wipe everything

Hold down the 2, 9 and Hold while powering up.

What???? Writting to a 796D only changed the channel or TG list you were writting. Some of the software would rewrite a whole bank....and you could set them to clear all memory, but just writting to the scanner did not wipe all other memory.
