Scanner to computer connections and program

I have purchased the product keys to use this site plus I have already installed the program for the scanner on my computer and I entered freq. and what not into the data stuff and then transfer the freq. to my scanner and I though I save the file but when I reconnected my scanner to make changes nothing happens and the file I saved is a BIN file and I get the message can't open file and it asks me to have web search for a program and still nothing whats wrong ????
