That's not much of a deal, considering that I got my 500 and 600 for 399.95 a piece from universal radio, and that is the cheapest I have found anywere for a new unit and I get it in one shipping day at normal shipping prices. There shiping is a set price. for instance up to 500.00 is only 9.95 ups. not bad.

Not a good deal at all. I got mine from Ramko Distributing about a year ago for $329.00.
BUT they have now raised the price to $434.00 so not so good any more and they are
suppose to be a wholesaler. Go figure!

You got a psr 500/600 for $300?? my guess it was a used radio???

Nope, Brand new, not used and not remanufactured.
Radio Shack has run their models of the 500/600 at $299 at least a couple of times that I know of and
I think that there have been more times that I haven't heard about because I haven't been trying to keep
up with their prices.

its about time scannermaster catches up with the rest of the world. hamradio.com has had them at that price for SEVERAL months now... they even offer free shipping

Ham Radio Outlet has had them for 400 bux for a while. No no shipping for anything over 100 bux, no tax if your state doesn't have an HRO store. Reputable dealer, where most hams get their stuff. Four bills, that's it.
Scanner Master has been the high one on those units.
I think Grove Enterprises has been about 400 too.
