anyone know when the new scannermaster book is coming out for MA? I think I have like the 1999 version or something.

The most recent edition, the 10th came out in late 2005. Rumor has it the next edition will come out at the end of this year.

To me, hard copy books are passe. You can neither easily update them, nor download data from them. Even eBooks have this issue about downloading

You're going to be far better off getting familiar with the Wiki section at Scan Cape Cod, and the databases here. In addition, the Scan Cape Cod website has a forum devoted to programming files, and with a premium subscription and the right application, you can download data from the databases into your editor. There are folks on both sides doing updates, so generally speaking, if someone has submitted the data, it gets entered, somewhere.
