2) New legislation will make it illegal to rebroadcast (Both in text form or actual audio stream) without specific agency permission. (A misdemeanor) Certain exemptions are being written into the bill that exempt the media. Critics worry bill would hamper use of police scanners
The bill has been voted on, there is NO threat to scanner listening or streaming....All the bad parts to effect scanners was removed....Check the Carma yahoo group...
What is so special about STARCOM21? Listening to some of the state police channels, it doesn't sound like they are broadcasting any kind of secret information
