Hello
I was wondering if anyone changed out the stock SD card out of the SDS100 and what size they went up to? I was thinking about a 16gb or 32gb and was wondering your thoughts.

Thank you

Either size is fine but most people will recommend getting a name brand with a High Endurance rating. The SDS and x36HP models are always writing to the SD card for the audio replay option. It seems the cards Uniden supplies are not always the best quality which the High Endurance rating will usually correct and prevent any card related issues down the road.

Could you please recommend a card and model number for a 32gb one ?

Thanks

I did 16gb. If you are going to record everything ( not recommend ) you won't need anything more than an 8gb card.

I use 8gb cards in a couple of scanners, and 16gb in others.

Uniden says that a size up to 32gb is 'supported', but there are quite a few people using cards larger than 32gb (64gb, with at least one saying 128GB).

Unless you really intend to make a lot of audio recordings (of activity), there is no advantage of cards larger than 8gb or 16gb.

See this thread for a high endurance card suggestion:

kruser linked a SanDisk card, which is high endurance, That's what you should look for (high endurance cards).
