I could really use some help. I'm trying to set up my RSP2 to decode apco p25. I have downloaded SDR Console and it is working. I have downloaded and installed DSD + VB Cable and Unitrunker. I have gone down the list of parameters for Unitrunker to decode 800mhz frequencies but when I click on the start button in unitrunker, nothing happens. Unitrunker never starts or runs. Any one have any helpful ideas?

No version of Unitrunker supports SDRPlay, and the software's author has stated that he has no plans to add support for it.

Unitrunker v1 supports Realtek or Airspy, while v2 (not yet released to the public) will also support HackRF One.

Do you know if there is anyway to use SDRPlay to do trunk tracking with different software?

FL info is at the end of the DSDPlus.txt file. Installation info comes with FL (at the top of the Notes.txt file)
I purchased DSD+fastlane and got it installed. I finally figured out that I needed to use the FMPP files for the SDRplay radio. I'm no programmer and all these files are very confusing as to what to do to what. Anyway I modified the FMPP-.cc bat file for the control frequency of my trunk-ed system I want to listen to. When I run the .bat file I get an error message - FMPP 1.11 -i1 error invalid command line parameter 'i1. I have no clue what this means.
I was also reading where you could load frequency's into DSD plus .siteloader. but I don't know how to do that. I can't just use edit in windows to see the file. How do you get into these crazy file extensions?

I'd guess that you don't have any SDRPlay serial numbers in the FMPP.cfg file, so FMPP doesn't know how to recognize "device number 1".

The site loader file gets site data (protocol, network ID, site number). Right click on it and open it with Notepad.

Thank you so much for your kind help thus far.
I'm wondering how in the world any one is suppose to know fro the list of files provided by fastlane, which files are to be used for which type of radio, which files are to be re-configured, What needs to be configured and how to do it. How was I suppose to know from the information provided, that I needed to supply a radio serial number. How is any one suppose to know which files to use for which radio. For instance that the FMPP files were to be used for a SDRPlay radio. I guess I'm just used to installin a program as an .exe file and away we go.
Do you know if any one has written a concise step by step procedure to correctly install and get a SDRPlay radio running.

How about reading the .txt files that come with it? A good example is Notes.txt.

From the notes supplied with the software

FMPP 1.0

DSD+ compatible SDR software for SDRPlay RSP2 receivers.
Other SDRPlay receivers are not supported, but some functionality may be possible.

Operation is similar to FMPA; refer to FMP.txt, FMPA.txt and
FMPA feature updates documented in this change log.

Use Notepad to add your SDRPlay serial number(s) to the FMPP.cfg file.

FMPP help summary:

Usage:
FMPP [options] Normal operation
FMPP -h Show help

Well I've been reading the notes.text most of the day and I got my receiver serial number into FMPP.cfg, and that got FMPP -cc.bat file to run. At least I could see some graphics of spectrum jumping around. When I try to bring up FMPP-vc.bat I get an error "invalid command line parameter -i2. #r2 is not defined in FMPP.cfg. Im not a command line programmer and I've been messing with this all day and getting nowhere. Right after the first line that has my radio serial # I've put ; -rv -i2 serial#. I've tried ; -i2 serial#, ; -rv serial#. I even tried to enter serial# on second line and that messed the file good, so I stayed on the first line. Obviously I don't know or understand command line programming. Could you show me an example of FFPP.cfg that works.

Run the original/unmodified 1R.bat file that came with Fast Lane to start DSD+.

Run the original/unmodified FMPP-CC.bat file that came with Fast Lane to start FMPP.

In FMPP, tune your SDRPlay RSP to a P25 control channel (just type in the frequency in MHz and press Enter).

In FMPP, use the B key to set channel bandwidth to 9.5 or 12.5 kHz. Use J/j and K/k to adjust LNA and IF gain. The A key switches between antenna ports A and B.

DSD+ should start decoding the control channel and following Phase I and Phase II voice traffic, but is dependent on the settings in the Decoder and Control menus. If you haven't changed any of them, the defaults should work fine.

Thank you so much for this help. This got it going right away. Now I just have to learn what all the data means, but at least I decoding signals now. Thanks again. Your help is what a newbee needs.
