Hello all,

I'm trying to use SDR# to control my SDRPlay duo. I have installed the ExtIO plugin as per SDRPlay instructions. However when i start SDR# the ExtIO is not in the list of sources like the instructions said. Is there someone that got it working ?

The reason why i want/need to use SDR# instead of the native SDRUno is that SDR# as a RAW mode and apparently it is necessary to decode VDL2. SDRUno does not have a RAW mode.

Many thanks

SDR# discontinued support for the SDRPlay line after Version 1361. You can still download the aforementioned version here however functionality is limited compared to more recent versions. I tested it working with a Duo and a DX

Thanks, I've downloaded and installed version 1361 however there is still no ExtIO available in the source list. What is the version of the plugin you are using ?

I just downloaded the EXTio plugin from here then pointed the installer to the SDR# root directory. As long as the ExtIO_SDRPlay_RSPduo.dll file resides here then it should show up in the source drop down when you launch SDR#

Thanks for your time and help, it's working but unfortunately even when using the RAW mode VDL2 is still not decoded in MultiPSK. Back to searching the forums again !!

The reason why i want/need to use SDR# instead of the native SDRUno is that SDR# as a RAW mode and apparently it is necessary to decode VDL2. SDRUno does not have a RAW mode.

This depends on the software being used. VDL2 can often be decoded by tuning in USB. In HAM software, such as Multipsk, this is sufficient. In other decoders, such as Wavecom WCode, an offset must be set when using USB. This offset is usually half the set or required bandwidth.

jazzboypro, just fyi Multipsk can talk to an RTLSDR straight. I have it setup to receive VDL2 without SDR#.
I am gonna hookup my RSP2 and see if I can get it connected. I am using a RTLSDR, Multipsk won't work with an Airspy (?).

Hooked up my RSP2 and Multipsk talked to it without anything else. Hit or miss got it going for me.

planeplotter / VDL mode 2 (shows the older version)

The newer version of Multipsk 4.45.4 has a box for RSPlay I just clicked on it. It has the files to connect with a RSP2.
Multipsk is a mess to try to figure out.

I did click on the SDRplay button in MultiPSK, it does not do anything. Getting all these softwares working together is a real PITA

jazzboypro if you want me to I will work up a kinda tutorial and PM it to you. If you do just PM me yes or no.
I am assuming that you know which VDL2 frequencies that are active in "Laval" and can see them using SDR#.

I finally got MultiPSK to communicate with my SDRPlay Duo directly it's actually decoding ACARS as a write this but it still not decoding VDL2. i am using 136.975 for VDL2 i can see the signal on the waterfall but i don't know if the signal is stong enough. The global level windows does not go over 13% and it looks like there is no way to adjust that.

I have the latest verison of Sharp SDR# and the ExtIO_SDRplay_RSP1A.dll file is present in the directory yet the SDRplay module wouldn't load up under the source file.

Is there any workaround?
