sdrtrunk v0.5.0-alpha6 keeps crashing.

Hello,

Looking for a little help with my sdrtrunk v0.5.0-alpha6. I installed, and have been running everything without incident for about four months on an i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz with 32 GB memory. I monitor a P25 Phase II system with two RTL2832U dongles. About two weeks ago the program started crashing, usually about once in a 24-hour period. I’ve made no changes to the computer system that I can think of.

Could someone suggest where I should start looking within the files of the system for issues. The audio seems fine when it’s running. I stream it here Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

How much space on your hard drive is there? What does you logs and recordings folders look like. When it gets to 1.5 million files, it starts causing some real problems.

The entire SDRTrunk folder uses 36.2 MB on a drive with 98 GIG left. The logs folder has 4 files. I don't record but there is one MS Wave Sound Format file in there. Thanks

When it crashes again, check the sdrtrunk_app.log file in Sdrtrunk/logs and post its contents.

Chris thanks. Run Windows 7, seems stable to me. Refuse to update, and haven't for the past year.

Firstly, thanks for the help with this.

So, sdrtunk ran well from the time I made the initial post on June 15 until sometime early this morning on the 18th. Attached are two log files. One when sdrtrunk last started on the 15th until crashing on the 18th, and the log file after the restart today. I haven't included the initial part of the log from the 15th because I was starting and stopping the program numerous times trying different solutions on the 15th. Only the last restart on the 15th is included in the first file.

After copying the file today I restarted sdrtrunk. I did not restart the computer, just the program, and also attached is the log file of the restart that is running now.

After reading another thread here, I will add that both rtl-sdr dongles are plugged into a powered usb hub and there is a short extension cord involved to the computer. Unless someone sees something of concern in these log files, I think the next step maybe to try to plug the dongles directly to the computer if the available antenna cable length will allow. Thanks again.
