It would seem the internal clock in my 100 is typical off. Like today it’s 1:49 and my clock readout says 1:14

QUESTION: is there anyway to just delete the clock segment from the display since it’s somewhat off.

"Empty" (blank) is one of your display options for the SDS100.

Start Sentinel, set your target model to the SDS100

Click on the color icon directly under the S in the Scanner drop-down menu.

Then, when you select the Time field, you can see your options from "Empty" to something different.

The SDS100 seems to be the only scanner I have have that can't keep time. I've set it when we changed to DST on March 26 and it's now 8 minutes behind. So perhaps it's 10 sec too slow each day. Would a connected GPS automatically set the clock during "housekeeping"?

I don't pay a whole lot of attention to the clock but I use GPS daily between home and work, clock is dead on.

It should, at least on my SDS200 with the Uniden GPS puck it is always correct and changes visually the same time my atomic clock synced to WWV time signal.

Absolutely, you would think! What I do is match up both the 100 and 200 with my cell phone, and WWV. They're actually the same. I would guess so.

Go figure, I leave my SDS 200 on 24 hours a day, why not, I do disconnect the 100 and work off battery power and of course, it's going to lose accuracy on the clock.

So many relatively simple improvements we should be experiencing and expecting. I don't have an answer why not.

If it's distracting, set the clock color to the same color as your background.

If you're not recording, I don't think the clock matters anyway.

NICE!

Never tried but can the time be replaced with a different value?

It sucks the timestamps would be off for those who do record on the scanner. I just just checked my 200 and it is 1 minute and 15 seconds faster than the time on my pc which says was synchronized with Time.Windows.Com @ 1 AM today. Fortunately, I do most of my recording with @ProScan and I believe that uses the operating systems time and not the scanner time..

Correct - ProScan uses the computer clock

ProScan can update the scanner clock when ProScan starts, and once a day, and when the button is clicked. The option is in the Scanner Specific tab.
