Every one on ebay is now listed at $749.
Uniden will never get one cent from me on a new scanner.

Not correct. Apparently you did not read or understand post #274. Search for item 192609562100 on eBay and use coupon code PREGAME15 and pay $552 shipped. 15% coupon code expires at 10pm Pacific time today, then the price reverts to $650. Free FedEx shipping and sales tax in NY only.

Yeah it's a shame webtron x tries to take advantage of eBays coupons and make 49 dollars more than retail he puts that extra 95 dollars in his pocket! He is the only eBay seller I know low enough not to allow eBays discount coupons to count. Very poor seller!

Nope. Every seller has raised the price $100 except the one you have to search for.
I will never ever buy a new Uniden. I don't play that.

Yeah now they have! This morning webtron was the only one at 749. They do this every coupon day. But just an fyi for everyone, the seller still would get the 649 price, but eBay pays the rest for the buyer. They act like they will only get 549 for it THATS NOT TRUE. It's a sham!

Perhaps you are on the wrong forum thread. This thread is about the price of a new Uniden.

This is correct, I called the vendor about the coupon code i posted that was now expired after one day and they said Uniden contacted them shut their discount down! Keep posting price finds everyone to get around this. Someone can call and take them to task over the phone and see if they will honor it. It was -$97.50 off in the shopping cart. post #267 I already have this scanner.

Looks like somebody from Uniden was reading the Uniden forum and did not like the labor day weekend sale price of the sds100
This sds100 discount seems to be the best of all

That is exactly what we are discussing. Uniden price fixing.

It was discussed much earlier posts on this thread, which you can probably find via searching back, but basically Uniden has a MAP agreement for vendors that wish to remain as such.

Hence, essentially the MAP, even with discounts and coupon codes, still applies, even if a third-party site (e.g., ebay) is actually offering discounts that lower the final consumer purchase price to at or below the MAP. The consumer's final purchase price on a new product from an affiliated vendor has to be at or above that threshold.

Price fixing is not quite the same as MAP for legalistic purporses. Price fixing restricts competition, while MAP policies are designed to promote fair(er) competition among retail suppliers.

I completely understand what you're saying. The fact is, it's a matter of semantics.

Buy your brand new car on EBAY for below retail price. It does not happen car dealers will not even cross that line and risk losing their dealership.

Car dealers do negotiate and no one pays MSRP on most models.

True and I don't see any vendor currently listing the SDS100 for MSRP either. Of course, I didn't check the entire Internet.
