Most of us have come to get used to it the way it is also you can tell if the voltage does not top off where it used to you are starting to have a battery problem. At 3.4 Volts you are getting close to the end of a useful battery charge and you should either charge the battery or swap the battery.

Thanks for your help. It’s a brand new battery and I was just trying to figure out when it’s going to shut off/down point. I believe it’s about the 3.3v mark.

Upman the SDS designer posted to never let the battery drain all the way down it is not good on the battery so I run mine 1/10 of a volt above the lowest setting in the scanner.

It's an electronic circuit in the battery that cuts off the power and will never let the battery drain all the way down, as that could make it impossible to charge again. The values you set in the scanner are only for the low battery attention alarm, how long it will run from the alarm time, and are not part of the battery charge or discharge function. Usually the longest life you get from a battery are if you always keep it half charged or at least not go over a 90% full charge. Most mobile phones have a function that stops at a 90% charge and alerts you if you manually force it to 100% that it will reduce the life of the battery.

None of the new Cell Phones I have had or do not show this 90% you speak of also PAUL stated do not let the battery go below 3.2 if you owned a SDS100 you would know you set it at 3.3 the warning goes off then the scanner shuts down.
