Thank you for the help, I think I got it working more or less (mostly police and fire).
However I could use some help getting the DMR stuff to work I have it on but getting nothing.
I used
https://digitalfrequencysearch.com/Search/QuickImport.php to find and load the freqs.
I live in Oregon, Lane County.
I could send you the scanner file to look at it that would help (if I can figure that out).
Thanks again.
You did purchase the DMR upgrade, and have entered the key in the scanner, right? (Or did you purchase it through your selling dealer, and they were supposed to have entered the key?)
While the Digital Frequency Search site is handy to use, remember that it only provides information on who, in your county, is
licensed to use DMR, NXDN, or P25 transmissions. Some agencies, as well as private companies, get licensing to allow for modes (P25, DMR or NXDN) that they are not currently using, but want to retain the option in case they decide a change is desired at some later date.
Looking at your county in the database, I see a couple of DMR systems listed:
Pacific NorthWest DMR Trunking System Profile
www.radioreference.com
TRBOWEST (WA-OR-ID-CA) Trunking System Profile
www.radioreference.com
Based on what I see in my area, as well as comments in posts concerning various other areas of the country, there likely are additional DMR users in your area, but so far, no one has identified them & submitted the information to the database.
For the two listed trunked systems (
Pacific Northwest DMR &
TRBOWEST), you can simply add those to a Favorites list by appending them from the main database in Sentinel.
If you want to post your Favorites list file, export it to an *.hpe file, then right click on your exported file. That gives you a pop-up menu; choose Send To from that menu, which then gives you a small menu for how & where to send. Choose the one that says send to "Compressed (zipped) folder". That zipped file can be attached to a post.
The 'Export to *.hpe' is under the drop-down File menu in Sentinel. Once you select the 'export to *.hpe', Sentinel will ask you which Favorites list to export, and then give you the option of exporting all the systems, or only a selected few.
