SDS100 shuts off going into mass storage mode

I recently updated the firmware in the SDS100. When it powers on and the computer recognizes the scanner and I hit I. It says "writing to SD card" then shuts off. I reset the settings and tried it again and it shuts off again. I don't think it is the SD card. once I reset it, I then re-entered my location and began scanning and picking up signals fine. I even recorded some stuff to write to the SD card to see if there was any issues and it worked fine. any suggestions would be nice!

Did you say you hit "I"? You press E on the scanner to put it into USB Mass Storage. What are you trying to do with it still connected to the computer?

"I" sounds an awful lot like the power button.

System inoperable in OFF mode...

The slash mark on the power button kind of looks like an "I". That would certainly cause it to write to the SD card and shut down.

I threw another card into it and was able to work through it.
