Plug and Play? Tell that to new owners who are let's say "Overwhelmed"I just got the sds200 scanner and its the best scanner i have ever owned....talk about plug and play!
Definitely some tweaking helps get it where you want it.Plug and Play? Tell that to new owners who are let's say "Overwhelmed"
One man's Plug and Play is another man's pain.Plug and Play? Tell that to new owners who are let's say "Overwhelmed"
That is absolutely NOT true at all. You need to create a "favorites" list or receive everything all around you.Plug and Play? Tell that to new owners who are let's say "Overwhelmed"
Oh, not me I have favorite lists. My feed is on a SDS 200. I was referring to new users who post about being absolutely overwhelmed. That is absolutely NOT true at all. You need to create a "favorites" list or receive everything all around you.
Easier to program than my EVX 539 lolDefinitely some tweaking helps get it where you want it.

Both spot on. Took me a bit of reading here, but I get it now and routinely change stuff to my liking. Heck, I just added CSX rail in Tampa which is around 50-60 miles north and get them great.Sadly many people do not want to put in even minimal effort. Then complain when something does not live up to their expectations. The RR data base was a huge step forward in simplifying programming a scanner. Many though miss the critical step of customizing their favorites to cover their specific interest.
Same here ! When I actually decided it was time for a SDS200, I must have watched 25 vids before it showed up, already had sentinel installed and probably a week worth of sleep loss, after it got here lol!here is the thing..... i watched alot of youtube vids from a guy in england.... i knew a lot before i got it.... people should do that before they say its too hard!!
Connect to Sentinel and set the target to SDS100 followed by writing to the scanner.
The good news is that you can add your name and contact information to the opening screen in case you ever lose it. Anyone finding the scanner will know who to call.just tried this thanks I thought the sds had a identity issue and thought it identified as a 436 lol
Yes, if you also own a 436HP and never changed your Sentinel profile before you wrote to the sds100.Is this normal
