Good morning!

I've been using Discovery on a BCD436HP, SDS100, and SDS200 for several weeks. Each day, I use Sentinel to pull the previous day's data from the scanners and then review the audio on my computer. I always check the box to "Move logs from scanner" and the process has worked flawlessly.

A couple of days ago, I was unable to initiate a Discovery session on the 436 and got a screen message which read, "Discovery Disk nearly full Discovery stopped." I've tried repeating the process of moving logs from scanner but that doesn't work since there are no logs to remove. I've tried this process with Sentinel as well as attempting to review logs via the scanner menu. Same thing. There are no logs to review or remove. It seems obvious I need to delete some files to clear up some memory space but I'm not really sure what magic buttons to push.

I've also looked at the Discovery folder on my computer; i.e., "BCDx36HP" and it is empty. So, nothing to delete there.

This does not appear to be an issue with the 100 and 200 but only with the 436. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You may need to reformat your SD card. I went through something similar with my SDS200 when it quit recording audio when the card was showing I had 7GB of empty space, and the scanner said my card was full.
Thank you! For years, I have been seeing advice to fellow enthusiasts to reformat their SD card when things seem a bit wonky but never thought it would happen to me! This unit is running on its original SD card and is ten years old.

The formatter worked just fine and I found some step-by-step instructions on how to do it. The Discovery issue has disappeared and the problem appears solved.
