Today I took a brand new out of the box SDS200 and noticed that the default screen before programming appeared washed out and in grayscale.

I programmed the scanner with system(s) and changed the display to be black background with white letters. After programming, displayed still looked
washed out and in grayscale.

I can't find a contrast adjustment. Am I missing something or is the display possibly defective?IMG_3048.jpg

Hmmmmmm........you may have one of the well documented screen issues that some of the SDS200's have......I hope not but it looks like what happened to one of mine a year ago :(

I'd call whomever you bought it from and see if they'll exchange it for you.
