SDS200 Screen Contrast

Today I took a brand new out of the box SDS200 and noticed that the default screen before programming appeared washed out and in grayscale.

I programmed the scanner with system(s) and changed the display to be black background with white letters. After programming, displayed still looked
washed out and in grayscale.

I can't find a contrast adjustment. Am I missing something or is the display possibly defective?

Hmmmmmm........you may have one of the well documented screen issues that some of the SDS200's have......I hope not but it looks like what happened to one of mine a year ago

You can tinker with the Display Settings but it looks like a defective display.

I'd call whomever you bought it from and see if they'll exchange it for you.
