SEARCH TG'S?

Question, can any scanner search specifically for new talk groups on a P25 system with knowing the general range? Our state utilizes the 10000 Dec range, although it's pretty reliable our system is quite new, I'm certain there are other tgs in use for specific units within our barracks ie., vice, organized crime, major crimes, narcotics etc, these units probably can't all be using the same tg channel, besides those in the RR database. Upon advice from members here I've been conducting specific searches and in a month I'm going to submit my new data for my area, thanks in advance

I don't know of a scanner where you can specify a range of TGs to search.

No scanner can search for talkgroups in a specific range and not even sure such a function would be effective at finding new ones.

The Uniden scanners can be set to search specifically only for talkgroups you do not have set up, which is a much better and useful method than ranges would be.

Uniden scanners have an option, called ID Search, which will search for and play transmissions for unknown TG's within a given system already programmed. The Unications have multiple options that will essentially do the same thing. Both will uncover TG's not previously programmed within the particular system in question.

Set your favorite list to ID search instead of ID scan.
