Did a little homework today this is what I came up with for the Seaside Heights Life Guards.
They are using Kenwood Radios, North and South Life Guard stations have a both radio
channels.

North LIfe Guard Station: 151.8050 DCS 065 - Kenwood
South Life Guard Station: 453.0125 DCS 712 - Motorola

The high band Kenwood radios only has the one VHF channel while the UHF Motorola radios
have 4 channels that have already been listed on other threads.

Also a friend of mine tells me that the Seaside Park life guards also uses along with there
other radio channels 154.265 also know has the South Jersey Net. unknown if there
a pl on this channel.

Happy Monitoring.

I found these two fcc licenses but the uhf one has expired.

The vhf is listed to venice amusements so not sure what that
is about.

The sj fire net is a mutual aid channel for many fire depts in
central and so jersey and no tone is used on that.

ULS License - Public Safety Pool, Conventional License - WNWT535 - SEASIDE HEIGHTS, BOROUGH OF

ULS License - Industrial/Business Pool, Conventional License - WPLF894 - VENICE AMUSEMENT CORPORATION

As mentioned in an previous post, the frequency they use for snow removal is also licensed to Venice Amusements. I think elias1988 said they actually use Venice Amusement radios for that.

As for the UHF frequency, 453.0125, that's listed as Beach Patrol 2 on the database here. That and Beach Patrol 1, 465.5750, along with the other frequencies licensed to Beach Patrol all expired in 2004.
They show no license at all, current or expired, for the two other freqs listed on the RR Database, 3 - 453.2125 and 4 - 453.7750. yet, there are three others listed on the expired license that DON'T show in the RR database.

What a mess!

I have seen 453.0125 pop up a few times during the past week...I'll program in that NEW VHF one.

It would be nice for those of you who are "close" enough who can monitor and then submit a more accurate and complete listing of those frequencies, pl/dpl that are in use for life guards etc and then the mess can be cleaned up...thank you. I'll take those frequencies that now show activity and will add them to the DB ASAP....

I wasn't inferring that the database here is a mess, if that's what you thought. I was referring to Seaside Heights using Venice Amusement frequencies/radios, not renewing their Beach Patrol frequency license but continuing to use some of the frequencies, and using frequencies that they hold no license at all for, expired or current. The mess is there, not here on RR.

The freq that is listed in the data base as DPW for Seaside Heights is really for the people who handle the Beach Badges.

Also I am sure Elias88 who verifiy my homework assignment on when he is off tomorrow on this end I take a lot of pride in my research and always try to bring something to the RR table.

Take Care

That frequency listed on the DB for DPW (Snow removal) is the one licensed to Venice Amusements in Seaside Heights. It's the one I was referring to in my post. I believe elias posted, on another thread, that it's used in the winter for snow removal operations, and I believe he said that the radios that use the frequency belong to Venice.

With that said, Ken can just add your info to the description.

On the Beach Badge freq and tone I confirmed that years ago by sight up on the boardwalk. I am doing some more work the last two weeks of august hunting for freqs in that area with my 396. I will try to get the beach comber freq again last year I failed in my mission.

I am really interested in Seaside Park BP using South Jersey Net. I am sure there is a PL there using the person that gave me that info using an older scanner that does not search tones by the way this same person confirmed on Wednesday 151.805 says it was VERY ACTIVE by the
lifeguards.

It's interesting to see that Venice Amusements is "possibly" sharing it's frequencies with the "Town" for various "beach" related functions. Just check their license FCC Callsign WPLF894 Details They have 13 frequencies they can choose to share!!! All are low power 2 or 5 watts "mobile" read as "portable".
If I were in the area, I'd stick all 13 frequencies in to see what came up. Note some frequencies are also licensed to FF restaurants, warehouse stores (Costco's) etc so channels may be busy with other than beach activity. A nice little monitoring project here...any takers?
As to agencies letting their license(s) expire is nothing new, either they forgot...simple laziness in admin or due to cost cuts or there is in the works plans to change frequency(s), system, band etc...

Please list the three "missing" frequencies from the expired license;)?

Again for those who are close enough can add these 3 frequencies a give a listen to see what if any "beach" related activity is taking place.:D!

Thanks
