just curious how many people still hear securenet transmissions in the area? federal or local agencies. We are currently playing with some simplex stuff with some secure sabers and got to wondering...

Mostly federal, some narcotics (HIDTA, Metro units etc) and a few locals. There are some IG pool freqs that can be heard using digital (P25, NXDN etc) and/or analog encryption.

Other than a once in a blue moon, anything worth listening to from the Feds is encrypted, so I don't bother listening to them anymore. The FPS and USPS traffic on UHF is b.o.r.i.n.g. and gets old really fast.
