I know in March 2011 they were granted new 700 MHZ frequencies. I haven't seen anything about when they will start using them. Since most government actions are driven by economics, it might be some time before they obtain radios, build new towers (if needed) etc. Some clues might be gained by looking at minutes of the county comissioners as they would approve any new communication expenditures.

Seminole County recently completed their rebanding a couple of weeks ago, there are no more transmissions in the 851.XXXX and 860.XXXX frequency ranges on their TRS replaced with frequencies in the 854-856 MHz range, and the mutual aid frequencies are now in the 851-853 MHz range instead of 866-868 MHz range.

The only transmission I ever heard on the 700 MHz system was a weekly "FIN" test at about 10 AM each Friday. The new 700 MHz system appears to be a regionwide mutual aid trunked system as Martin, St. Lucie, and Orange counties has deployed identical systems as well. The new systems show up as sites of the Lake County TRS (although only in Site Trunking mode and not connected to the Lake County sites), which is being deployed as a regionwide trunked system for at least mutual aid purposes.

The RR database still lists the the 851-860 frequencies. If you know the new frequencies, please send an update to the database so the County can be updated. I live in an adjacent county, but I rarely get Seminole unless the propogation is right.

This is what's on Unitrunker right now...

859.9875
859.4625
859.2375 Control
858.9875
858.4625
858.2375
857.9875
857.4625
856.4625
856.2375
856.1375
855.4875
854.8375
854.5625

There are NO 700 MHz freqs showing in the controller. Most likely, the 700 Mhz referred to is part of the Region 5 Interoperability Project. System is taking calls on every channel listed and I can hear them fine in Orlando on a discone @ 40 feet.
