So still learning šŸ˜. If I open Sentinel make a favorite list, add frequencies etc...
Save and Close Sentinel
Open Proscan Favorites Editor .....it will then update my tree and All I need to do is download to scanner?

I havenā€™t tried it but I figure you could point ProScan to the sentinel favourites list folder and just open it up to edit, effectively syncing the two. To to File > Open and navigate to the Sentinal stuff. Thinks itā€™s it My Documents > Uniden. Not near a computer currently to try it.

If you make changes in sentinel and save to the scanner OPEN PROSCAN READ FROM SCANNER AND SAVE IN PROSCAN. Then you make changes in PROSCAN and save to scanner AND DO NOT FORGET TO READ THE SCANNER IN SENTINEL AND SAVE. Now both copies are the same.

this is what I am thinking. I am aware of making a change in sentinel, save it to scanner and read from pro scan. Trying to figure all this Sentinel-Proscan-Radio Reference Premium correlation šŸ¤Ŗ. So what I did was deleted a FL in sentinel, saved and exited. Opened up FL editor in Proscan and woohoo the FL I deleted in Sentinel was gone !!
Im really trying to wrap my head around why I should program with Proscan instead of Sentinel.Any thoughts?

I do like the web server part of Proscan , but I personally think Sentinel is easier to edit my FL. Am I missing something here?

Personally for me I find the ā€œtreeā€ easier to get through and read. Much less clicking in and out of favourite lists. Imports nicely from Radioreference and I can easily omit encrypted channels, etc.

I also have both a 325P2 and a 436HP. I can import lists between the two with ProScan, which I canā€™t in Sentinel.

Overall the ease of use helps it win for me. Feels like I do everything in 30 less clicks.

I donā€™t use the database at all, but change programming frequently.

I understand the tree is probably a little easier to work with. When you Say you donā€™t use database at all. How do you get your programing from RR?

I meant that as in I donā€™t use the ā€œZip Codeā€ location based programming. I import from RadioReference instead.

Until thereā€™s a firmware update for the 436, I have no reason to open Sentinel.

Ok that makes sense to me nowšŸ˜‰. So In Proscan if you want to append from updated database...... do you file-import main DB from RR and append what you want to your FLā€™s?

Nevermind!! I think I figured it out. I do as Whiskey3JMC said. ...or if you have the most up to date Sentinel database and are using a recent version of Proscan, you can import info from Sentnel's DB directly to Proscan...
Then I Right click and append to my FL Law. Correct?

When I Import Radio Reference Web (RR Subscription Required)
all that does is take me to my RR page. How do I get anything from that?
You need to sign into your RR account first then choose Country, State, County, System, etc from the drop downs. Once you selected all that, click Get Data and not RR Web Page otherwise as you found, it will simply take you to the db page. Data populates then select each checkbox for the systems, sites, departments, etc you wish to import to a FL

It's fairly critical that if you have three sets of data/Favorites Lists (one in Sentinel, second in the scanner and the third in ProScan) you'll have to be pretty mindful to keep them synced. If not, you can lose valuable work. If you create a Favorites List with ProScan, write it to the scanner, then use Sentinel to read the scanner.
