So my question is. When I do a service search and all the frequencies populate in my history logging, are they all pretty much P25?

First thing, which scanner are you using? Typically a service search just stops to receive any transmission within a specific service. They usually don’t log unless you set an auto frequency save or use logging software.

Bcd996p2 and I'm using proscan and proscan has a history logger.
Well, if you’re searching 7/800 MHz they’ll defintely be P25. There are, of course P25 allocations in the 150MHz-174MHz, 450MHz-470MHz and 500MHz ranges for public safety depending on where you are located. Generally all those aforementioned allocations can be conventional, DMR, or NXDN.
Really, it depends on what your scanner receives and can decode if you have the DMR & NXDN upgrades, and what Proscan logs. If you want to be absolutely certain as to the usage of a channel, look it up the RRDB. If you can’t find anything, be sure to ask in your states Forum and I’m sure you’ll get plenty of help.
