yes it is upgrade and i called the company that program it and they want me to wait 2 days to see if it pick up anything

I believe the X36HP will receive P25 Phase 2. I have one but never bothered with the DMR upgrade because I already have DMR equipment for the ham bands. If I have this wrong, please advise.
well this scanner i paid for them to upgrade it and i can't even get help from them they are all too busy for me now

The BCD536HP receives P25 Phase 1 and Phase 2. It also receives ProVoice, DMR, and NXDN with paid upgrades.
i already paid for DMR upgrade and still nothing

Who is "the company"? Did you order the upgrades to be installed with the scanner or did you download an upgrade key?

What specific system are you trying to receive?

Note: The DMR upgrade resides in the firmware of the scanner. Using Sentinel, make sure that you have the latest firmware version (1.28.14). Go to the Update tab and Update Firmware. Do this to confirm that you have the DMR upgrade in the scanner. Press MENU. Scroll 1 click to the left to Settings. Press E. Scroll right to Upgrade. Press E. Scroll to Upgrade DMR/MotoTRBO. Press E. If upgrade is installed, it will display DMR/MotoTRBO has already been activated. If it asks for a key, the upgrade is not installed. Press SYSTEM twice to exit menus.

As already asked above, which dealer did you purchase from, that did the "programming".

Unfortunately, this is yet another example of paid programming that misses the mark once the purchaser receives the scanner. Telling you to wait a couple more days to see if you hear anything sounds like a stalling tactic, hoping you'll go away until their return window (if they even have one) expires.

Looking at your county, Union, in the database:

Both the county Sheriff's Office, as well as your city, El Dorado, show to be using DMR channels. Looking at the database page, I see color code, talkgroup (TGID) as well as a slot number specified for most of their DMR frequencies. However, in the Sentinel database, the DMR channels are entered as conventional frequencies, without a color code; they are set as 'Digital Code Search'.

Your selling dealer, for a usually princely fee, in all likelihood simply appended systems to a Favorites list and loaded it on your scanner. Whether they actually appended the correct items or not is subject to debate. Since you paid then for programming, they should be wiling to help fix it, but apparently are not, at least at this point.

If you have Sentinel installed on your PC, which you should have done, then read the scanner into Sentinel. Then, in Sentinel, export the Favorites list (all of them, if there is more than one) into an *.hpe file. The "export to *.hpe file" option is on the drop-down file menu.

Once you have exported the file(s), and noted the location where they are saved on your PC, open Windows Explorer (labeled as 'File Explorer' on Windows 10 & later) and browse to where your file(s) are saved.
<Right><Click> on the hpe files. You will get a pop-up menu with a number of choices.
Select "Send To"
That will then give you a shorter menu with fewer choices.
Choose 'Send to Compressed (zipped) folder.

You will now have both your original hpe file, plus a copy with the same name, but with the file extension *.zip instead of *.hpe.
You can attach the zipped file(s) to a post where someone can take a peek & offer suggestions on what needs to be changed.
