Setting up Scanner for Gardena PD/FD

I'd like to set up a scanner for my sister who is in Gardena. I'm assuming analog is okay for Gardena PD and FD. Any issues with using just a extendable whip or would I need something more?

Yes, analog will work just fine. What scanner model are you trying to program for her?

Gardena PD is dispatched on 470.81250, by the South Bay Regional Public Communications Authority.

FD is dispatched by LA County Commuications, and their freq's are here, under LA FD/EMS... not sure which zone is Gardena, though.

Important to note, that since South Bay Regional Public Communications Authority which does the Gardena PD dispatch is in the process of a buildout and frequency reallignments, Gardena has been dispatched on one of the Tac's chanels (470.0125) on and off for the last couple months.

LACoFD in Gardena use Blue 1 (470.3125), while for TACs they are split between two Battalions and utilize White17 (154.430) for stations 158 and 159 which respond with Bat18, while Bat7 has station 95 assigned that uses White21 (154.070)
