Shack Set Up Help

Hey all, got a few questions on setting up my 1st shack. Got the main part down, have a Pro 95, 796d, and a PRS 500. I have a Niljon Super M ant. outside about 15ft up. I have about 50ft of coax junk, that I'll change to LMR 400 in the spring. Right now I have the heavy coax going right to the top of the 500, probably not good for it right??

Ok, that's the set up you all have to work with. I need a couple stands for the handhelds for sure, and I need "Jumpers" for the handhelds to the hard coax? If so what do I connect the hard coax to then the "Jumpers"? Need parts help apparently badly.

From Previous threads on the GRE 500 I wouldnt have the coax directly on the BNC connector. If indeed the coax is junk why not use the stock antenna if possible. The LMR400 would be the way to go. By Hard Coax do you mean semi ridged? PM sent...............Hoser

Grounding, grounding, grounding.

You can put your larger coax into a grounded lightning protector, then use a jumper from there to the BNC on the radio.

A suggestion.
