Anyone know what is causing the interference on 460.525 here in Okaloosa County. Are they trying to fix something or are they moving to another Frequency, i.e. trunking or SLERS????

Yeah. I know about the ducting. I am a ham radio operator and it's a fact of life there. I was speaking in terms of Local scanner frequencies (here in NW Florida) about if there is any digital scanner activity WORTH listening to. The digital scanners are a bit pricey.
We've been having a lot of ducting all week long. I can always tell by static burst at the end of some transmissions. Santa Rosa SO channel 4 is real bad when ducting moves in.
I would agree fully. Being that I am sitting here listening to what I think is Shelby County, AL fire dispatch on my portable fire radio in Laurel Hill. Add to that, inside my brick residence. Very clear. Heterodynes when my local dispatch talks at times. 155.835. Might pick them up.
Gotcha, I guess I was confused by the title. Click on the RRDB and when you see a frequency of interest with a "D" then you'd need a P25 scanner. If it's A you are okay, if it's E you are completely out of luck.

Right here on RR, you can find the wiki link to a program that will decode those "E" talk Groups / Freqs.!
