Shooting-South Utah County

Shooting occurred in South Utah County in the unincorporated part near Payson. Suspect(s) in a red Dodge truck. Possibly in an orchard observed by UtCo air unit. SWAT called out and at residence. Person possibly barricaded? Details are sketchy. Traffic is on UtCo Tac 3 (43040) and on the Metro SWAT channel (42784)

Suspect reportedly 10-82 on "the canal road" wherever the hell that is! SWAT commander is requesting the suspect to be brought to the CP for identification by a witness.

The RR Database shows TG43040 labeled as Utah County Operations 3. Was it ID'ed on air as TAC 3, or does it matter?

County has been referring to the Ops channels as either Ops or Tac whatever. I believe they took a quewe from Davis because UtCo Fire uses Ops or Tac 2 or 3 and Provo Fire has been using Ops Or Tac 6 and 7 (even 8.)

Hey Junior, didn't know you were in EM. I'm here too in the Ranches.

You probably get more SL County stuff there than I do not to mention coverage is better in the North end of town (Ranches) than out here in the South end (City Center.) Also TG 42784 was Metro SWAT 1 Which is Provo/Orem/BYU PD SWAT. Interesting since its UtCo SWAT on that channel. UtCo's is/was TG 46464. Hell, everything's changing around here isn't it?

3 arrested in shooting near Payson

(KSL News) Police have arrested three men involved in an attempted shooting near Payson tonight.

Authorities a driver called 911 saying the green Escalade in front of them was driving recklessly. The driver continued to follow the SUV, and before police caught up with him, the SUV reportedly stopped and a man got out and began shooting at the car that had been following him.

The SUV then took off, but police were able to pull it over. Two men were arrested on the scene. A third took off but was caught within the last hour near the Payson landfill.

No one was hurt.
