I was bored and set up Windows Media Encoder and took a screen shot of Unitrunker on our Memphis Dig. system.

Thought it would be cool to post so folks who haven't seen the program, or know what it does, can watch and get a general idea.

Also, are the majority of large systems out there as busy as ours here in Memphis?

Anyways, Enjoy!!!

Thanks for sharing that. I have UniTrunker, but I've never seen a system that big in operation.

Very nice, and I also have never seen a system that big to monitor it. If I would have had such an active system to monitor in my area I probably would have kept my scanners.

Nice

Have been needing something like this to integrate into a powerpoint presentation I've been working on

It's very hard to explain trunking - this visual does the trick!!!

I can do still screenshots of trunking programs. I'd sure like to be able to capture the programs running over time.

Tips are welcome, via PM or whatever.

I just used plain 'ol WME. Used the "capture screen" wizard when you first open the program.

Very simple to do, you can choose the open window to capture, no cropping, or size settings at all.

This system is really busy. Site 2 for all the non-emrg. stuff is just as busy, during the day.

To bonus1331: It's been an ongoing project to add the tags for the users. Pretty simple to do though, at least for the fire radios. As far as the talkgroup tags, they didn't take but maybe 20 minutes tops to do.

Quick question.
What does the "Pr" and "T" stand for in that clip? In unitrunker at the top menu bar.
Channel, PR, Destination Party, ID, T, Calling Party, CT

PR is the priority you assign to the destination party. The default is 50. Unless you have a second radio for following voice calls, it's meaningless.

T is the type of destination party - G for group and I for individual. Calling party is always a radio ID so no need to waste a column.

CT is the call type which varies by protocol.

Thnx.
I keep seeing PR:50, T:G (had one that was I) and CT: (alot of Dig.. provoice for what im listning to on edacs) on fleetnet i get XP.
What do all the Dig, XP, and all them mean?
Or again does it differ per system?

It's by type of system. For Motorola you will generally see XP for crosspatch; MS for multiselect. Which reminds me ... there's a bug that prevents Astro calls from being displayed as such.

EDACS ... Fon (phone call), Dat (mobile data), Ana (analog), Emg (emergency), Dig (digital - usually ProVoice). Tst indicates the LCN tester.

For P25, a single digit number indicates the system call priority (as opposed to the listening priority in the PR column). An "E" before this digit indicates an emergency call.

I don't remember the MPT1327 call types off hand.

Failsoft - indicates whether the system is in failsoft mode (I think the wiki covers "failsoft").
Delay - timing between the controller and the mobiles over the control channel. Tells the mobile radios how long to pause before sending a request (eg. affiliation, PTT, etc.)
Priority - is the lowest accepted caller priority.
Peer is number of reported neighboring sites.
Profile is internal to the program - it is relative CPU load (smaller is better).

DEM - that is digital emergency call. If your digital capable radio does not recognize the voice call, it may be VSELP instead of IMBE.
