I don't look for that system to be analog much longer. Word is that a lot of mobile radios have been changed out and that portables were scheduled for change this summer.
Looking at FCC filings its hard to say exactly what is going to happen for modulation method, as many bases are covered there, but story is that it will be P25 phase 2
Still wait and see. Their Motorola distributor has a reputation for doing anything they can. It appears that they were sold on the idea of not going LWIN and put a lot of their money in site rebuilds, go figure.

Well New Orleans has a separate, phase II system.
I went througb this weekend, and it is coming online the p25 cc was online (posted in another thread) and ot looks to be a phase 2 system.
But i do not at the moment see that frequencies will be used.

It is for city services like water and sewage, it is a harris p25 p2 system.
But it is a backup for pd and fd if lwin drops.

why is RR showing it to be phase-1?
Cause at the time when submitted (by me) i could not look it up and it was just coming online, remember this is a new system and will be looked and change when we find out more
