Signal stalker 2 and cell phone towers

I guess I will put this here since SS2 is radioshack feature.

I live a few 100 yards from a cell phone tower monster eyesore.

When I set the SS2 thing to scan all the groups, I get 3 strong hits...... weather channels.

Really strong loud too.

Do cell phone towers relay or broadcast WX stations?

or is this just a circuit glitch thats normal?

The weather station could be co-located, or it could be an IM mix that includes the weather channel.

gosh i'd LOVE to have one of those "eyesores" in my neighborhood, $70 a month and i cant even get a signal in my own home, (you guys dont realize how lucky you are by having one in your own neighborhood)

yeah... tell me that when aa lightning storm blows by and your house and trees get wwhacked by bolts of lightning that massivly grounded thing draws close.

ive lived here for 41 yrs, we got hit by lightning maybe once a decade.

now we get hit really good at leat a few times a season.

Ive got dead treas all over and once, it hit the pole by the house and fried the in ground wires.

yeap, i know "it dont work that way" but you explain 40+yrs of no damage then as soon as that tower was put up we get blasted every yr.

good side effect, the homeowners insurance covers lighting damage, so I get t upgrade all my stuff more often than I used to.

but all joking aside it hits my fences and nearly fried my horse once.
