Here are a few pictures of my setup. I am running a Uniden BCD-996XT with a Laird NMO 16" antenna on the trunk. Also I have the Garmin GPS hooked up to the scanner but haven't really used this portion to it's full potential yet.

iPhone quality pics so don't complain ;)

Nice but too close to your feet when you get in, plus it's visible to other people when you open your door. Otherwise nice job! :)

Quite nice and simple, but to close to the pedals for my taste.

The car is an Audi so I didn't have a lot of options for mounting it - especially while trying to retain the integrity of the car - and plus I wanted to keep it out of plain sight when the car is parked. Yeah - it may be a little too low for most people's tastes but It works for what I need to do right now. It's more like I had the car, then decided to add a radio, as opposed to getting a car designed around the thought of putting radios in it. Eventually I will correct it when I own something different.

You could check with Audi or VW and see if they carry those "color keyed" finishing buttons that you pop into the holes you drill when you remount your radio up just under the lightswitch panel:D
If they have them-you get the green light if you want because those little gems will be an attractive fix to those drillholes.
