About this time last year, I posted a shack pic. (Pic#1) Not entirely a whole lot has changed, but there is a few upgrades. The Icom IC 7100 control box has been relocated to under the desk. The Icom control head now sits on a computer monitor stand, along with a Whistler TRX2, which now assumes the duties the Pro106 performed for a number of years, which still sees service. Gone is the Uniden amplified speaker and replaced with a Motorola HSN 4018B Speaker, got it real cheap at a garage sale. The TRX2 drives that speaker. The Icom drives the Motorola (white lettering) speaker on the left.
The homemade antenna which was a Larsen NMO 220 has now been replaced with a OmniX.
The longwire antenna is from Alpha Delta, which runs 75 feet long and does a outstanding job considering it's up in the attic.
A filter was added from Palomar Engineers to catch the EMI and other annoying noises.
LDG 9:1 Balun to get a better match from the antenna/coax to the Icom 7100.
Replaced all the old coax, with Tram RG 8X.
