Tonight, why monitoring Simsbury police the dispatcher told all units to switch to channel 2 for a radio test. I don’t see channel 2 in the database. Did they have an unlicensed frequency within encryption? I looked at the FCC. I have all the frequencies. Or did they use the statewide system for channel 2?

For what it's worth....When I hear gobbledygook I like to know whose gobbledygook it is. Ultimately, I lock it out since the audio's of no use, so I don't know the details of what's happening, but I know SOMETHING is happening with that agency. (For me personally, it still silently shows up in the activity window of my scanning software)

In this particular case I'm not sure if this pertains to Simsbury's own P25 network, CLMRN talkgroups, analog repeaters or a combination, but I guess everyone has different reasons for monitoring and some details are more useful to some than others.
