BRECKENRIDGE - Authorities say an 11-year-old boy from the United Kingdom died after a skiing incident Thursday morning.
The incident happened on the blue intermediate trail, Bonanza, on Peak 9 at the ski resort.
The ski patrol responded at roughly 9:30 a.m. and the boy was taken to Breckenridge Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Neither the boy's name nor any other details have been released. Resorts spokeswoman Nicky DeFord says no one else was involved in the accident, which occurred Thursday morning on a clear day.
Breckenridge Ski Resort says the boy was wearing a helmet.
