I noticed in the Shenandoah Co section they have the skywarn freq as 147.345. The correct freq is 147.300. The repeater is located east of Winchester. When activated they can link it with Harrisonburg and the Outback repeater system in WV and also with the 147.300 in southern virginia.

The web page from the NWS is 3 years old, but should still be valid.
NWS Sterling, VA - SKYWARN™ Subnet Information

The frequencies are 147.3 (main one for the NWS) and 146.625 w/ a PL of 131.8 for the southern part of the county.

After verifying that these are indeed correct (which if you check in regularly you already have done) you should submit the info so it can be updated in the RR database. That's how it is kept current.

I don't listen to ham freqs. Even though I am into weather, I also don't listen to Skywarn. The last time I listened on a severe weather day, everyone seemed to be reporting "it's windy" or "I have my wipers on high".

I will just wait for Local Storm Report or the Public Information Statemnt (snow & ice totals).

If someone else who lives or monitors Shenandoah County, they can confirm the freqs being valad. For me I'll stick to fire EMS & police.

Skywarn is not intended to be a public information service. Rather, it furnishes raw observations to the NWS whose job, in turn, is to disseminate it to the public. NWS has the "big picture" which is distilled from all the reports it receives and that's where the reliable, integrated, announcements are found on the 162 mHz channels.
