I have a Uniden BCD996P2, it all programed, for North RISCON, but I'm not able to hear Smithfield Police? Does anyone have any information?

Are you able to hear any other talkgroups on the system? If not then simulcast distortion could be a factor

Yes. Smithfield is not on RISCON. They're conventional on 155.0775 PL 118.8

I understand the 155.0775, but what is PL 118.8
Sorry, I'm new to this new Digital Scanner and I'm unsure of the programming for it.

Yes, that's the Fire Department, I am able to hear them, but I can't hear the
Smithfield Police

Yes, that's the Fire Department, I am able to hear them, but I can't hear the
Smithfield Police

No, it was the police department like I said. I know what I am listening to.

Did BearCat give you any paperwork on what they installed? The only other thing to do is put the scanner on Hold and manually scroll through the channels and see if you locate it.

I have and yes, I've located it, but can't hear anything 🤦‍♀️

Yes, they loaded all of the North Riscon and I get all the Analog still too

I doubt it if your claim that you can hear other talkgroup(s) on the system is true. Might be a programming error or as I mentioned in Post #2, I wouldn't rule out simulcast distortion

North Riscon is a site. Can you confirm that you have Talkgroup 1651 (the PD Dispatch talkgroup) in that programming? In the other thread, you mentioned 1652. But 1651 would be the primary talkgroup for that department. I just want to make sure you are seeing 1651 and it didn't get left out.

I would go back and manually make sure that Talkgroup was actually added.
IT could be they programmed it from an older Database that did not have the TG in question.

Yes I do have 1651Talk group
