Staying center strip again this year. Last year I had the apex peak site programmed with the old analog system and I was able to hear everything. Should I program the same apex site with the new P25 system? Or the Las Vegas simulcast.

This info might be useful for any tourists staying on the strip. It seems to depend where you're staying as to what site to use. I stayed at the Flamingo and Cosmopolitan. While at the Flamingo the strongest signal was the Arden Peak site I believe. And the best at the Cosmopolitan was the Apex site. Both of those had every agency on it. There was another site, Mandalay Bay maybe, that was strong but only had Henderson. The LV simulcast site was weak at both places and didn't work well.

i like using one channel modes in my uniden ,, all related voice freqs in each setup ,,, I load up all the voice channels I find wen I do search mode with p25 checked ,,,, nac codes get auto stored ,,, I program each setup by nac number ,,, I found there are separate nacs on the Laughlin/bullhead sites ,,,, 851.275nac468 ,,, 851.450nac468 ,,, 858.4625nac469

852.450=0461h-0228 ,,,, 854.1625=0461h-0229

I don't setup regular p25 trunking

That's why I love my psr 500. Very easy to program. It took me a matter of minutes to figure out what was best. And when I did it worked perfectly. Also my pro 668 was perfect for lvmpd.

Vegas Help.

I don't have a homepatrol 1 but I know it's based on the rrdb correct? Have you updated the database in the scanner? The old Clark County system recently changed, now it's all digital P25. Listed in the rrdb as SNACC P25 System. Also check your settings over. Range/Att/etc'. If all else fails make sure antenna connection is good. You should hear something this is a scanner busy town. You won't hear Las Vegas Metro Police on that scanner. They are on a phase 2 system. Youi'll need Homepatrol 2 for that.

I don't have an HP1 either, just some ideas and suggestions is it programmed for the P25 system, can you go in and check the control channels and see if they are correct and change them if they are correct, are the talkgroups programmed in or turned on.

Turn on ID search and see if it works also.

There are 2 SNACC Systems the old is not active much anymore, everything is on the P25 system now.

My BCD436HP became awfully quiet last week, when I looked at it closely I noticed I was not receiving Simulcast at all. I put my BCD396XT on Pro96Com and noticed several new freqs attached to not only Simulcast but also Apex. I gathered what freqs I could and submitted them to the database.

I left a couple freqs out unintentionally, I plan on running Pro96Com through Sunday evening and will resubmit all of the freqs I collect to the database on Monday.
