• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

It's often helpful for newcomers to have a user's guide available when they get new software, particularly if it's using the newer Object Oriented or DMA memory schemes. Our wiki hosts several of these, in various stages of development...

ARC96 - The RadioReference Wiki (has rebanding instructions)

ARC310 - The RadioReference Wiki

ARC500 User Guide - The RadioReference Wiki

ARCPATROL - The RadioReference Wiki

FreeScan User Guide - The RadioReference Wiki (has rebanding instructions)

IScan Installation and Tips - The RadioReference Wiki

Sentinel User's Guide - The RadioReference Wiki

Win96 - The RadioReference Wiki (has rebanding instructions)

and there are 2 on the Utah Radio wiki which are also worth looking at, if you're using these packages...

WIN500 - UtahRadio

UniTrunker Guide - UtahRadio

Updating and improving these guides is up to you, the membership - 'nuff said :D

best regards..Mike
