you get more for your money with proscan which is a better software package and only costs $50.00 and free updates for life while freescan is no longer supported.

Welcome to the RR forums! As outlined on their downloads page, Freescan support for the 325p2 is "experimental" and there no longer seems to be any user support. There have been no app updates in over 6 years. Go with Proscan instead. 30 day fully-functional free trial. $50.00 gets you a license key for two PCs, regular app updates and second to none support by the developer himself right here on the forums. Can't beat it!

I use ARC-XT Basic for programming my BCD325P2 and BCD996P2 and find it very fast and easy to use. What is your city, county, and state and which agencies would you like to monitor?
I live in Leavenworth City County Ks & this is the weird part, Radio Reference shows my City & County has gone to a phase 2 program system BUT my WS 1040 is a phase 1 system & i still get every thing including KHP / Turnpike

The KSICS system is P25 Phase 2 capable. If you look in the Mode column, all of the talkgroups show a D (Phase 1). Although the system is Phase 2 capable, all of the talkgroups are currently operating as Phase 1 which the WS1040 can decode. If you see a T (TDMA) in the Mode column, that talkgroup would be Phase 2. DE and TE are fully encrypted which no scanner can receive. De and Te are encrypted only part of the time. The WS1040 would not be able to decode a talkgroup if it changed to Phase 2, which could occur in the future. Do you have software for the WS1040?

I don't use software as of yet, i do everything manually & i have a group on FB where my member's give me their scanners to program, BUT i am getting tired of doing it manually & thanks for the info you gave me i appreciate it.

If you would like to try ARC-XT Basic, download and install it for the free trial period. Here is the link: ARCXT Basic Download | Scanner Master Click on Download the DEMO. You can purchase the key later if you like the software. You will also need to install the driver for your scanner. Here is the link for that: BCD325P2 - The RadioReference Wiki Near the bottom of the page, under Supporting Software and Driver, click on Driver and Install Instructions for BCD325P2. I created an ARC-XT trunked file for Leavenworth County using the Leavenworth County site of the KSICS statewide system so you can see how it is done. There are 2 files attached. The first file, that is zipped, is the ARC-XT RSF programming file. The second file is a PDF file which will explain how to use quick keys with your scanner. Save the attached zipped file to your computer and extract. Open the extracted file with ARC-XT Basic. Under the Scanner tab, click on Upload to Scanner. The system is on system quick key 1. Group quick keys as follows.
GROUP QUICK KEYS:
1. LeavCo Pub Works
2. LeavCo Emerg Ops
3. LeavCo Fire/EMS
4. LeavCo EMS/Hosp
5. LeavCo Detention
6. LeavCo Sheriff
7. Basehor PD
7. Lansing PD
7. Tonganoxie PD
8. Leavenworth Fire
9. Leavenworth PD
0. KS Hwy Patrol
